Wednesday Feb 23, 2022
Thank you for taking the time to be part of this new podcast series specifically designed for young dentists. This podcast is being created for those looking for mentorship about the options available to them after dental school. We would like to focus on the type of relationship you have created together and how other young dentists could copy your genius.
A practicing dentist in Provo, Utah, since 1996, cosmetic dentist Dr. Chris Hammond is well known for his talents in both general and cosmetic dentistry. In 1998 the Crown Council (a national group of leading-edge dentists) awarded him America’s “Young Dentist of the Year.” His practice has been named Utah County’s “Best of the Best” dental practice by the Daily Herald for providing quality dental care in a unique, people-oriented environment. He has recently been nominated by his peers and Woodward/White (an independent research firm) as one of “The Best Dentists in America.”
Dr. Harris received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University before attending the University of Texas Health at San Antonio School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors in his Doctorate in Dental Surgery program. “As a third-generation dentist, dentistry has always been a major part of my life. My grandfather (general dentist) and my father (oral surgeon) showed me what it meant to serve others and sacrifice for those in our community. Through their examples and with my experience as a patient of Dr. Hammond’s I knew I wanted to make dentistry my profession. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps and serve those in this community that I love.”

”Starting a Practice from Scratch” with Dr. Lincoln Parker
Monday Jan 03, 2022
Monday Jan 03, 2022
Meet Dr. Lincoln Parker of Hales Parker Dentistry in Ladera Ranch, CA.
La-dera Ranch is a community located in south Orange County, California, just outside the city limits of San Juan Capistrano. 2010 census had 22,980 people living in Ladera Ranch.
Dr. Parker was born and raised in Orange County, CA and considers it the greatest place to live on earth. Even last week when I was arranging this podcast with him he was driving home from Redwood National Park with his family and said it was his favorite place to go with his family.
He attending Brigham Young University for his undergraduate education where he also met and married his wife Mimi. Then they moved to Las Vegas to attend dental school at the University of Las Vegas. It was there that Dr. Parker says, "I was exposed to many aspects of dental care. It was a newer school and that afforded me the opportunity to experience the latest in technology. There I was also able to push my skills beyond typical dental schools due to the faculty’s desire to give us as much clinical experience as possible."
He is a passionate learner and has created an environment that focused on the long term relationships and health of his patients, and maybe he will talk about this a little today, but he went to work for a corporate owned dental practice right out of school. It was there learned what type of practice he wanted to own - and great topic for today.
You can feel Dr. Parker's passion for his profession and helping people by just visiting his website, spending some time on his social media pages and watching a few of the videos he has recorded of what his patients say about him.
We are grateful to have him with us today to talk about his journey creating a practice from scratch and what he learned along the way.
