”Starting a Practice from Scratch” with Dr. Lincoln Parker
Monday Jan 03, 2022
Monday Jan 03, 2022
Meet Dr. Lincoln Parker of Hales Parker Dentistry in Ladera Ranch, CA.
La-dera Ranch is a community located in south Orange County, California, just outside the city limits of San Juan Capistrano. 2010 census had 22,980 people living in Ladera Ranch.
Dr. Parker was born and raised in Orange County, CA and considers it the greatest place to live on earth. Even last week when I was arranging this podcast with him he was driving home from Redwood National Park with his family and said it was his favorite place to go with his family.
He attending Brigham Young University for his undergraduate education where he also met and married his wife Mimi. Then they moved to Las Vegas to attend dental school at the University of Las Vegas. It was there that Dr. Parker says, "I was exposed to many aspects of dental care. It was a newer school and that afforded me the opportunity to experience the latest in technology. There I was also able to push my skills beyond typical dental schools due to the faculty’s desire to give us as much clinical experience as possible."
He is a passionate learner and has created an environment that focused on the long term relationships and health of his patients, and maybe he will talk about this a little today, but he went to work for a corporate owned dental practice right out of school. It was there learned what type of practice he wanted to own - and great topic for today.
You can feel Dr. Parker's passion for his profession and helping people by just visiting his website, spending some time on his social media pages and watching a few of the videos he has recorded of what his patients say about him.
We are grateful to have him with us today to talk about his journey creating a practice from scratch and what he learned along the way.

Dr. Eric Goodman ”True To Form”
Friday Jun 04, 2021
Friday Jun 04, 2021
“Back surgery is your only option…"
This statement inspired Dr. Eric Goodman to overcome a seriously bad back. Severe, years long debilitating lower back pain had been hanging over Dr. Goodman’s upcoming Chiropractic career. A year before graduation his pain hit and held its climax for several months. This was a maddening experience.
After dedicating years of his life and all of his money to learn how the body worked, he was well-educated, yet stuck in daily pain with a diagnosis of severe Degenerative Joint Disease at the spine. Sympathetic doctors told him the only way to possibly relieve his pain was to undergo a painful back surgery: legitimate fusion of his lowest spine.
But Dr. Goodman said NO to surgery – one of the best decisions he had ever made.
Foundation Training’s birth was due to his belief that corrective movement could be the answer to his pain and give him back his mobility, health, and life.
It’s been over a decade since that decision and in that time, tens of thousands of people have found similar pain relief and healing through Foundation Training. Dr. Goodman and the Foundation Training team stand confidently behind this work as our best available answer to our pain and yours.

Dr. Ray McKinley - "Ride the Elephant – the Journey to True Success"
Thursday May 06, 2021
Thursday May 06, 2021
Dr. Ray McKinley graduated from University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1974. He has provided state-of-the-art dental care in Macomb County for over 40 years. Dr. McKinley’s daughter Brittany joined the practice in the summer of 2011, upon her completion of her dental degree from The University of Detroit, School of Dentistry.
Dr. McKinley remains on the cutting edge of technology, striving to provide the highest quality of dental care available today. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Macomb County Dental Society. He has also served as member of the Michigan Dental Association Peer Review Committee.
This year, Dr. McKinley continued his 12 year tradition of teaching a class to a group of wonderful juniors and seniors at Lutheran High North called Business Character Values. Several of his staff members join him in teaching this class by mentoring a student.
Born in Detroit, Ray is one of 12 children born to Dr. Otis and Phyllis McKinley, of Fraser. Ray, along with all of his brothers, followed in the footsteps of his father and became a dentist. Dr. McKinley’s daughter, Brittany, graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2011 and is now continuing the family tradition into the 3rd generation!
The McKinley Family has provided dental care in Macomb County and throughout the State of Michigan for over 65 years.
Ray is part of a family with a history of hard work, including building McKinley Airport in Fraser, learning to fly solo by age 16, the development of Pine Valley Golf Course in Romeo, past president of the Romeo Chamber of Commerce, former president of the Romeo Kiwanis Club, a delegate to Washington DC’s Conference for Small Business, and building numerous dental offices throughout Michigan.
Ray continues to stay involved in growing and developing his community. Ray and his wife Lynn have six children, and five grandchildren.
Ray has written the book, "Ride the Elephant". Ride the Elephant calls out the elephant in the room that holds you back, that has been hiding in plain sight, then challenges you with questions and answers you have never considered before.
You will dive very deep, if you allow yourself to go that far, into why we act, think and behave as we do. You will likely see that today’s normal daily reactions are really creating a waterfall event with those around you.
The interplay of so many feelings and reactions like hate, blame, excuses, accountability, judgment, fear, and pride are examined. You will begin to consider how this juxtaposition of emotions are creating havoc in your life – like “the elephant in the room.”
