Mr. Truitt is a well-known healthcare management speaker for for-profit and nonprofit dental and healthcare professionals as well as legal and law enforcement organizations, and has published white papers on major profitability issues including identification and prevention of fraud, embezzlement, waste and abuse. He is a Crown Council Mentor this month as he talks to us about protecting our practice assets.

Dr. David Penner is a licensed clinical psychologist and is the Clinical Director of The Gottman Institute. He is the author of the Leader’s Guide for Teaching the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, which is based on years of experience teaching John Gottman’s Seven Principles book. He has trained therapists in the Gottman Method in North America, Asia and Europe and is the co-developer of the Gottman Seven Principles Program.
David has practiced for over 30 years as an individual and couples therapist, working in private practice, university, mental health and hospital settings and he is our Crown Council Mentor of the Month.

Dr. Marcy Schwartzman graduated from University of BritishColumbia Dental School in 1984. She continues to practice in a family general dentistry practice that she began from bare walls and no patients. This month she celebrates 30 years of serving great patients and working with a great team. She has been involved in many volunteer opportunities within her community and has served as the International President of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity in 2013 (only the second woman ever to have done so). She is looking forward toAugust of this year where she will be inducted into the RoyalCollege of Dentistry in St. John’s Newfoundland . She is the mother to two great children, Max and Leatt, and is still having fun every day with her husband Larry even after 32 years.

Susan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also holds a masters degree in education. After more than 10 rewarding years of teaching she started following a new passion focused around marketing and sales.
She has successfully launched and worked for several companies in both direct sales and marketing positions. She served on a national round table and won national awards for sales. Her success in sales and focus on marketing brought her to Total Patient Service (ToPS).
She currently works as the community marketer for six dental practices in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. She focuses her energy on seeking out new ways to assist dental practices to increase the value they bring to their patients.
Susan actively serves her community by holding leadership positions in various charity organizations within Southlake, TX. Susan has been married to William for 23 years and they have two beautiful daughters.

Dr. Peter Barnett received his dental degree in 1977 and anMBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School ofBusiness in 1979. For 25 years Dr. Barnett used his education and broad knowledge of dentistry and business to helpgrow the Pearle Vision Centers dental practice division; theVoluntary Hospitals of America to develop the PhysicianHospital Organizations and later to help Prudential develop a new business model to fully integrate dental into thecompany’s medical insurance business.
In 1995, he became COO for United Dental Care, a dental benefits company and later went on to co-found HealthASPx, a third party administrastore - commerce business and Denex, a startup dental insurance company in the greater DC area.
After all of that, in 2003, Dr. Barnett left the corporate world to start his own dental practice Star Ranch Dental, in Plano, Texas where he practices today.
